So be sure to have a spare mount of that type if you wish to start using that one for breeding or as a Ranch guard for the random invasions that sometimes plague the Ranch. One important thing to know is that once you take a mount and put it onto the "Record" tab of the Ranch, you can not take it back out and use it as a mount. You have to keep killing those Dragomon until they FINALLY (because I seem to have very, very bad luck) drop an item that says something to the effect of "Raptite Whistle" or saddle.
